According to the Boston Herald, Patriots cornerback Darrelle Revis intercepted Tom Brady twice during their first padded practice session.
Darrelle Revis was the star of the show, and it wasn’t even close. He intercepted a pair of Tom Brady passes that were intended for Julian Edelman. The first occurred during 1-on-1 drills when Revis undercut the route by the sideline. The next came during 11-on-11 work when Edelman appeared to create separation but Revis quickly regained ground and quickly turned as the ball arrived to snatch it out of the air. The quick hands and reaction speed were very similar to what we’ve seen from Randy Moss in the past. Revis also broke up a pass intended for Josh Boyce in 1-on-1s and a pass for Brandon LaFell in 7-on-7s.
There was a report during the spring that Brady was avoiding Revis during drills. Now we know why.
It sounds like Revis is back to his old self after suffering a torn ACL in 2012.
